Most mindful teachers would admit, like +Joan Halifax recently, that the problem with being a "teacher" is that one can take one's own views seriously or as the real ones.
I suspect the "teacher" label is just as dangerous for un-questioning students as it is for the teacher...
The interesting question for me is: why define anyone as a "teacher"? Why not "human being," since we all learn from each other? No one needs the label of "teacher" to share knowledge or insight.
