« The suffering of being separated from the beautiful

You will be separated from your guru, disciples, relatives, friends, parents, and dear ones —the cherished people from whom you cannot bear separation for even the time it takes to drink a bowl of tea— and from your positon, power, wealth, possessions, and affluence. Some ordained people even have such sufferings as having to be without their ethics.
Such things are not some injustice done us: they are a sign that we are still within saṃsāra.
   — "Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand: A Concise Discourse on the Path to Enlightenment"  by Pabongka, heading #270

And if we're still within saṃsāra, then we should renew our enquiry into the cessation of unsatisfactoriness, starting with our enquiry into the erroneous views we cling to.
