Consciousness is the hostage of dislikes.
Behind these threatening, dark clouds? Light, fluffy clouds!
Consciousness is the hostage of likes.
White clouds turn into beautiful flames…
Beyond those distracting, shimmering colours? Clear sky!
It may be tempting to scheme, strive, engage and fight,
in order to rise 'above' the clouds or to reach 'beyond' all clouds.
Then consciousness is the hostage of struggle.
It may be tempting to just sit, wherever you are within the universe,
in order to become one with the sky, while ignoring all the rest.
Then consciousness is the hostage of fantasies,
idealising a 'clear' sky, denying that space-time is bent,
blind to how the 'rest' shapes and sculpts the sky!
Neither blue nor black, what colour is hidden by the clouds?
Don't spit labels out: look!
A fire-breathing protector is hidden by the clouds.
Do you see it?
