Other shore

Dependent me, impermanent me, unsatisfactory me, contingent me; it is a "self" only as long as I see it as separate from the "other shore".

Dependent raft, impermanent raft, unsatisfactory raft, contingent raft; it is a "raft" only as long as I see it as separate from the "other shore".

'Shore' as it is, neither Eastern nor Western side of the water; it is "another shore" only as long as I see it as separate from a "current shore".

'Shore' as it is, neither Eastern nor Western side of the water; the water gets no hold on it and flows by…

When I give no hold to the pervasive saṃsāra and let the turbulences flow by, what is the "other shore" but the compassionate and equanimous me, offering safety to whoever needs a break, some rest, the cessation of struggle?
